Surviving Concrete-Stave Silos Amid Dairy Barn Fire Ruins, Rural New England, c. 1940s
Two concrete-stave silos, a hallmark of mid-20th-century dairy farm architecture, survive the fire that destroyed the surrounding barn. Their durable construction allowed silos like these to often outlast the wooden structures they were built beside, becoming lasting landmarks on the rural landscape. Project: 218319
