This June 1944 clipping from Leatherneck magazine shows the officers of Marine Fighter Squadron VMF-112, the 'Wolf Pack,' posed before the propeller of a Corsair fighter. Commanded by Guadalcanal veteran Major Herman 'Hap' Hansen Jr., the squadron was re-equipping with new F4U Corsairs in place of its earlier Wildcats ahead of further Pacific combat. Project: 218302
