Art Deco Mausoleum with Statuary in Philippine Cemetery
This photograph captures an elaborate Art Deco family mausoleum in a Philippine cemetery, likely photographed by a member of the 345th Bomb Group during their time in the Philippines prior to relocating to Ie Shima. Large municipal cemeteries with ornate tombs and statuary, common in the predominantly Catholic Philippines, were frequently visited and photographed by American servicemen as points of cultural interest.
