Douglas XB-28 Experimental High-Altitude Bomber Prototype on the Ramp

The Douglas XB-28 was an experimental pressurized, high-altitude medium bomber developed during World War II, of which only two prototypes were built. Photographed here on the ramp at a Douglas Aircraft facility, the type was ultimately not selected for production but contributed valuable pressurization research to later American bomber designs.
