Quonset huts served as the standard prefabricated building of Pacific island air stations, easily assembled from corrugated steel arches. This photograph, from an album belonging to Naval Air Transport Squadron VR-6 at Agana, Guam, shows a cluster of these huts used for offices and storage, with a sailor walking the coral-gravel paths between them in the years following World War II.
