U.S. Navy Cloth Flying Helmet with Integrated Headset, Korean War Era
A U.S. Navy cloth flying helmet of the type worn by naval aviators during the Korean War, circa early 1950s. Constructed of durable khaki canvas with fitted ear cups for integrated radio receivers and a leather-trimmed face opening, this lightweight helmet was designed for warm-weather flight operations. Attached communication cords and a boom microphone clip allowed pilots to remain in constant contact with their carrier or airfield during missions. Project: 218188
