A bomb fuse safety pin, pulled before release and kept as a wartime memento, bears a handwritten tag recording a December 2, 1944 mission against the oil refineries at Blechhammer, Germany, flown at 23,500 feet in bitter cold aboard the aircraft "White Sugar."
