This album page from the Edward P. McAleer collection documents pilots of Marine Fighting Squadron VMF-112 during the Second World War, including a briefing scene with squadron leader Major Price and a group photograph of pilots at a Pacific tent camp. The handwritten annotations are especially poignant, recording the fates of individual airmen: Cone and Pickering killed in action, Nick losing an eye to a 20mm hit in the cockpit on his final mission before heading home, and Ronnie credited with four aerial victories during the Okinawa campaign.
