Photographed from a Stinson L-5 Sentinel liaison plane, this aerial view reveals the dense patchwork of rice paddies and farmland that characterized much of wartime Burma. Such low-level reconnaissance flights supported Allied ground operations throughout the China-Burma-India Theater. Project: 218098
