USAAF Airmen Relaxing at an Outdoor Camp Lounge, China-Burma-India Theater, WWII
U.S. Army Air Forces personnel relax in locally crafted wicker chairs outside their squadron quarters somewhere in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. Such improvised outdoor lounges, often built with the help of local craftsmen, offered airmen brief respite between missions in one of the war's most remote and demanding theaters of operation.
