The interior of a squadron officers' club in the China-Burma-India Theater, built from bamboo, rattan, and canvas by USAAF personnel stationed far from established infrastructure. Complete with a brick fireplace, a stocked bar, and wicker furniture, such improvised recreational spaces offered airmen a welcome respite from the demands of combat operations. Project: 218052
