F-111 Aardvark

The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was a swing-wing, all-weather tactical strike aircraft that served with the U.S. Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. Known for its variable-geometry wings, side-by-side seating for its two crew members, and terrain-following radar for low-level penetration, the F-111 was capable of supersonic flight at high altitude and high subsonic speeds at low level. It could carry a significant payload of bombs and missiles and played a notable role in various conflicts, demonstrating its long range and precision strike capabilities before its eventual retirement.
